Connecting your Mobile Device
Kerio webmail also includes a simpler version for mobile
access. If your phone or PDA includes a web browser with internet
access, you can access the mobile webmail client to view your email
without downloading a lot of data.
You may also configure your handheld device to receive e-mail via a 'poll' or 'push' method.
'Push' e-mail is sent to your phone when it's received in your inbox. 'Poll' e-mail means your handhled device
periodically downloads your e-mail from the server to the device on a schedule.
Use the ActiveSync, POP, IMAP and SMTP settings in the groupware table above for your particular handheld device.
Connecting via the Web
Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera and most other web browsers
MX Highway's hosted webmail solution provides a rich interface for managing all of your e-mail communications from all popular browsers. MS Highway implements AJAX web technologies which provide greater browser flexibilty and functionality. Most browsers are highly compatible with the features offered by AJAX technologies. Additionally, this site contains no ActiveX modules or plug-ins. Simply point your browser to https://webmail.mxhighway.com and you should be good to go.

Mobile Devices Supported
With the broad array of handheld and mobile devices available today, 100% compatibility cannot be guaranteed with all devices.
However we support the following mobile standards for e-mail and messaging: ActiveSync, POP, IMAP and SMTP.
All of these standards leverage SSL for your security. Understand also that compatibility varies based on each specific device.
Regarding BlackBerry devices, we offer full synchronization for Inbox, Contacts, Calendar over-the-air for an additional monthly fee. Please contact 'support@mxhighway.com' if you'd like to add this to your hosting plan.
If you do not need over-the-air synchronizaiton for your BlackBerry device it can use POP or IMAP to pull e-mail messages from your inbox to your handhled device.
Handheld synchronization via ActiveSync along with POP, IMAP and SMTP is included with each mailbox for no additional fee.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Where can I download the integration tools for Microsoft Outlook and Apple iSync?
A: You can download the tools from the Kerio Downloads page, or simply click here for additional integration options.
Q: What are the differences between MAPI, POP, IMAP and ActiveSync and which is the best to use?
A: Although these are all client-side protocols each is used based on specific need and type of e-mail client you are using. POP allows e-mail to be retrieved however it will not natively allow for synchronizing of any kind (without add-on assistance). IMAP can be used to retrieve e-mail and it will provides limited synchronization of Inbox, Sent Items and a few other folders. MAPI (proprietary to Microsoft Corporation) provides full synchronization of all folders including inbox, calendar, contacts, sent items and others. This is the preferred client connection protocol however it requires Outlook 2000/2003/2007. ActiveSync is used for synchronization 'over-the-air' for Inbox, Contacts, Calendar and possible other folders on your handheld device, PDA or mobile phone. NOTE: Folders which ActiveSync will synchronize may be dependent on your particular device. Check with your device provider for full ActiveSync compatibility.
Q: How can I set general settings for my webmail account, including setting the TIme Zone, basic SPAM whitelist, signature and other things?
A: Once you are logged into Webmail, click the 'Settings' drop-down menu just above your mailbox folders in the left-hand column and select 'settings'..
Q: Can I setup rules to filter messages from certain senders or other things like auto-reply and auto-forwarding?
A: Yes. Once logged into webmail, click the 'Settings' drop-down menu just above your mailbox folders in the left-hand column and select 'mail filters'.
Q: Can I setup an out-of-the-office notice?
A: Yes. Once logged into webmail, click the 'Settings' drop-down menu just above your mailbox folders in the left-hand column and select 'Out of Office'.
Q:Can I change my own password?
A: Yes. Once you are logged into webmail, click the 'Settings' drop-down menu just above your mailbox folders in the left-hand column and select 'Change Password'.
Q: I need to setup an e-mail 'alias' -or- I need to setup a Distribution List. Can this be done in webmail?
A: Yes, but only by your e-mail administrator. Contact your e-mail administrator for further assistance. If you are unsure who your e-mail administrator is contact MX Highway at 'support@mxhighway.com'.
Q: I want another user to be able to access my webmail folders. How can I do this?
A: Once you are logged into webmail, right-click the folder you want to share and select 'Access Rights'. Click 'Add' and follow the on-screen wizard.
Q: My e-mail domain uses the optional Barracuda SPAM filter service. How will this affect my e-mail?
A: First, you will receive significantly less SPAM. Second, you will receive a daily e-mail which shows you all the SPAM messages that have been
quarantined. From that notice you will be able to access your SPAM quarantine, manage your whitelist/blacklist and modify any SPAM scoring
settings to your liking.
Q: Can I use MX Highway if I have an e-mail at a commerical provider, such as Yahoo, GMail, Comcast, Bellsouth or another such provider?
A: Unfortunately if your e-mail is processed by a commerical provider, we cannot function as your e-mail host. In order to leverage MX Highway your e-mail domain must be hosted directly on our servers.
Q: I have several 'alias' e-mail addresses in addition to my primary e-mail. How can I 'send as' one of my other alias e-mail accounts so the receiver does not see my primary e-mail address?
A: This can be easily accomplished using a custom configuration for your e-mail client, but is NOT available within webmail. What you will do is simply setup a separate POP account (profile) for sending out bound messages which has your alias e-mail assigned. Once the profile is setup, it should be designated as a 'send only' profile. If it is not designated as 'send only' this may result in message 'loops' and multiple copies of the same e-mail being received. This is a custom configuration and, if properly setup, has been tested to work with the Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007 client. However the concept applies to most other e-mails clients.
Q: How do I setup ActiveSync on my Apple iPhone?
A: Click here to download the connection procedure in PDF format.
